Huh, are the credit card companies out of their mind? They’re only a credit card company, but not only financial adviser or “nanny”!

Yeah. Sad thing is that we can’t really do much about it. I mean, if we could, it wouldn’t seem like as big of a problem as it really is. I don’t think many people know of credit card companies doing this yet — once people start to find out though, I don’t think they will be too happy. I’m sure not.

That is absolutely ridiculous. This is not fair at all — one should not be penalized because of where they are shopping. The economy is bad, and people are just not able to shop at the best stores anymore. This does not mean they should be penalized.
