		<description>Like you said, this was a bankruptcy a long time in the making. You make some good suggestions as to the issues that led to the downfall of GM.

Unfortunately, I don&#039;t think that GM really turned out to be the sucker in this whole mess, the American Taxpayers did. While the decision to bail out GM is obviously very complicated, the government has decided to invest in the company on behalf of the taxpayers. It is scary to think that the government will own 60% of the restructured company and will control 7 of the 12 seats on the board. We&#039;ll see how it all plays out!
