The issue with him was that they believed he didn't know he owed the taxes, as it was for housekeeping help. Still, you'd think a financial genius would know that type of thing, although I wouldn't. On the other had, the fact that he 'may' have been trying to rip off the taxation system does not bode well for you guys.
