Hi DT,

First, you noticed that your code didn't work properly. The blog is set up to not accept much HTML, since I'm running CommentLuv for blog posts.

Second, I hope you don't see me as being negative, but instead being realistic. I like to think that I'm paying attention to what's going on and the different types of things I'm hearing before making bold predictions.

It's funny because you hear a report that someone's done which supposedly says things are better than you think they are, such as with housing, then you see the reality of more homes where people are trying to sell them and getting foreclosed upon, new home construction at a standstill, and no one buying homes at all, even in our area where we're supposedly a great area for real estate, and one just has to say that things indeed aren't getting better.

Many people are grasping at straws for stuff. For this blog, I'm trying not to do that. For the world, though, I'm certainly hoping it gets better.

Well, I thought I was always negative on everything, but man did you just scare me... I have been thinking to myself that the economy was turning around, since everything seems to be picking up, especially the stock market, and the layoffs slowing down, but I will have to rethink my views on the economy.

Not that I disagree with you on everything but I think that of all of your predictions the one about "commercial properties" is pretty much spot on. That is what scares me the most so far.

I hate to bum you out, Jason, but I think if we lay the cards out on the table then we at least know what's coming and can possibly come up with ideas on how to turn it all around. Although, as normal, many will only come kicking and screaming.

Parts are slowing down, Wilson, but it's still continuing. And until we turn the corner on the commercial real estate market, we won't know if that slowdown will continue or if we're going to have one more really big peak to climb over first.

Mitch, many experts said that the global financial crisis is already slowing down, but it looks like the side effect of the economic turmoil won't reach its bottom yet, due to the rising of unemployment!
