Thanks Cali. Truthfully, the average time for writing posts is the same as it always was. What takes longer is going back and finding previous posts to link to, as well as linking outside to information that might help the readers.

200 Posts is quite an achievement in a year, have you found that the average time taken to write a post including preparation has sped up over the year, compared to what it was originally?

Yes, we did call that one, but I still don’t believe this thing about possibly 416 banks, or whatever the number is down to. And yes, I think we’re going to hit 130, though it might not happen until the very last week.

It’s definitely been an interesting financial year, I’d have to say.

Hey Mitch,

Since you’re talking about your blog posts over the course of the year, a news flash just popped up in my email that made me think of one of your posts from August: “Three Other Banks Failed.”

At that time, “only” 77 U.S. banks had failed. You had asked if anyone though we’d hit a 100 by the end of ’09. I think we both decided that the “100″ mark was inevitable. Well, we were right, and perhaps we even underestimated the problem at the time. On Friday two more banks failed bringing the grand total of bank failures to 126.

With less than a month left in 2009, will we hit 130?
